This commitment is embedded in how we plan, execute, measure, and continuously improve our work. Our health and safety programs are built on a clear understanding of risk, integrated into our operational processes, reinforced through communication, and measured through meaningful metrics.

Our approach to safety includes:

  • Off-Normal Conditions: When an Off-Normal Condition is identified, work is paused, the change is assessed by the crew and supervision, hazards and controls are re-evaluated, and the work plan is updated and communicated before safely proceeding.
  • Take-2: Crews conduct a Take-2 at the point of work before going hands-on, pausing for a brief team discussion to identify last-minute hazards, confirm controls, and ensure everyone is aligned before safely proceeding.
  • High Energy Focus & SIF Prevention: Embedded into planning and execution by identifying high-energy hazards, implementing critical controls, and applying “fail safely” principles, with executive leadership actively involved in reviews, corrective actions, and sharing lessons learned to prevent serious injuries and fatalities.
  • Integrated Safety Systems: Safety is integrated into daily operations through digital platforms such as Procore and electronic tailboards to track field leadership participation, capture inspections and feedback, monitor leading indicators, manage good catches and near misses, report incidents, and track corrective actions to support real-time, data-driven safety performance.
  • Safety Performance Measurement: Safety performance is measured using leading and predictive indicators, good catches and near misses, SIF/PSIF performance, TRIR, injury frequency and severity rates, and cost impacts, with data analyzed by work group and incident type and shared with leadership and the Executive Safety Committee to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
