Forbes Bros Ltd. is established by three hard-working brothers, Mark, Earl and Rob Forbes, in Saskatchewan, Canada. Later in this era a rebrand takes place and Remcon Ltd. is established.
1987 - 1997
1987 - 1997
Overall capacity is increased in distribution operations, underground infrastructure, and transmission line construction. Remcon Ltd. continues to firmly establish itself in the Canadian markets.
1997 - 1999

Strong work ethic and determination fuels Remcon's steady growth in Western Canada. During this period Remcon initiates an acquisition strategy to further ourselves throughout Western Canada.

Through continued success in the market, Remcon's family experiences further growth through the acquisition of RS Line Contr. Co. Ltd. while continuing a successful western Canadian expansion.

RS Line experiences growth via extensive, nation-wide electrical infrastructure build. A rebranding occurs, Forbes Bros. Ltd. becomes the parent company following a series of acquisitions.

Installed triple run of 266 Triplex with new transformer for dedicated service.
100+ tasks to complete to pre-underground checklist for conversion to 25kV including LPT and PMT changes, and JB remediations.
All clearances were pre-planned from start to finish at the start of the job to ensure that all outages and clearance didn’t cause more than one outage per customer to minimize customer impact.
Multiple crews to ensure customers only incurred one outage. Worked with BC Hydro Standards and engineering to test pulling forces to safely remove certain lengths of UC Cable.
Due to many missing units, FB Valley (FBV) provided value-add services by creating an as-built sheet for every structure to identify requested scope compared to actual scope required to adhere to BC Hydro standards. FB Valley worked directly with the program manager and project manager to ensure that conversion was completed on time with the additional scope and materials.
